When you shed
pounds over several months, you don’t
necessarily notice how much difference
the weight loss makes. Oh, I knew that
I’d dropped 16 pounds, using the
recipes Nancy and I created for the 2
Day a Week Diet Cookbook.
But I didn’t know how dramatically I’d
changed until I looked at the pictures
we’d taken on our recent vacation.
When I saw myself standing under
the ivy arch at Casa Santo Domingo in
Antigua, Guatemala, my jaw
dropped. Wow, I really had
slimmed down. For comparison I
dug up a similar vacation picture,
taken at the castle in Bodrum, Turkey,
last May. What a
difference! And the really
amazing part is that I’m only dieting
two days a week, which makes it really
easy to stick with the plan. I
persuaded my husband to join me on the
diet, and he’s lost, too. In
fact, I had to put another hole in his
belt to hold his pants up.
